Are the Indian seniors past their prime?

A sixth-wicket partnership of 158 between Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh lifted India to a four-wicket win over Zimbabwe in a one-day international on September 4 in Harare. Man of the match Yuvraj recorded his fourth and perhaps his best structured century in ODI.

In the last match against New Zealand on Friday, it was 24-year-old Mohammad Kaif who led India's chase. On Sunday, it was the turn of another youngster who took up the challenge and steered India through tides. Yuvraj Singh's sparkling 120 from 124 balls spared India the humiliation of defeat against a second-string Zimbabwe in the last league encounter.

So in the entire series it was only the youngsters who are doing their part, not the seniors.

Virender Sehwag has been too rash, Sourav Ganguly's form hasn't turned and even Rahul Dravid has been mediocre by his own very high standards.
