Ultimately team India has stopped the chariot of Victory of South Africa, here at Bangalore on 19th of November. In the 2nd ODI Dravid won the toss and ask them to bat first. It proved to be a master-stroke. They have bundled out the visitor's team at 169/9. Then the hero Viru (Virendra Sehwag) came up with such a fine show that ended with 6 wicket victory of Team India. The match ended when there are 14.2 overs are still left. Pathan has shown a brilliant all round show by taking 3 wickets and then making 37.

Well, I would take this victory with a pinch of salt just because of sheer inconsistancy of Team India. No doubt, Chappell-Dravid combo is making great efforts to turn that around, but I say lets wait and watch before going overboard with our eulogies! It may be my cynicism but then we are used to our Team promising much and ultimately delivering little.
It sure was a professional performance though. Pathan's been a revealation in the No.3 spot. He has genuine ability to blossom as an allrounder. But we must beware of the Proteas, professionals that they are, they are going to come out with their guns blazing. I know whats going to happen now. Prepare slow spinning tracks as we all know now that SA are weak against spin! But what when we tour SA, and have to face them on their fast bouncy tracks? Are we up to it? Only time can tell!
